THE LAW OF COVENANT (part 1)

I will start with this law that seems to be the beginning of all laws. We as children of God are in a covenant relationship with him. Understanding what the word "covenant" means will help us walk in it and reap the fruits of that understanding.

What is a covenant?
1. It is an agreement (usually formal), between two people or more.

2. It can also be referred to as a formal agreement of legal validity, especially one under a seal.

In order to enjoy marital bliss, it becomes imperative for us to understand the law of covenant. First, we will  start with our covenant relationship with God, because that is the fundamental example in understanding this law.

While studying God's relationship with man from the bible, one word clearly stands out- "covenant". Its worthy to note that a covenant without conditions to it is simply mere words.

The covenant that God made with man is such that promise and blessings are received when a man keeps the condition of the covenant. A covenant unlike a promise is a  vow that cannot be broken once agreed conditions are met.

Gods covenant with man is eternal. It therefore means that nothing on this planet earth, visible or invisible will ever make God go back on his covenant promise to man. Once man does his part of the covenant, victory is inevitable.
